As the original all-encompassing learning and networking event on facilities and how to manage them, World Workplace remains the gold standard in facility management (FM) education, knowledge exchange, career development and professional network building. This past year (December 2020), with the new and ongoing factors presented by the pandemic, several of our Word Workplace IFMA’s events have pivoted to a virtual or hybrid platform. These virtual events have successfully met the learning and networking needs of FM professionals around the world.
Our chapter proudly awarded two scholarships to attend the virtual WWP this past winter. Read below feedback and appreciation from the Atlanta recipients of the World Workplace 2020 scholarship, Machelle Clarke and Dr. Parminder Juneja (Dr. Pammy)
In December 2020, I had the pleasure of attending IFMA’s first ever virtual World Work Place courtesy of our very own IFMA Atlanta Chapter. The Guest Speakers were outstanding this year and brought so much to the event. It has never been more important than now for Facility Managers to have access to development. I am grateful that I was able to attend several conference sessions which were very informative and insightful during these most challenging times. I cannot say thank you enough to our Atlanta Chapter for giving me the opportunity to attend and represent Atlanta.

This is to convey my sincere gratitude to IFMA Atlanta for the World Workplace 2020 Scholarship. As an educator in the FM program World Workplace is a key and effective podium for cumulative knowledge gain about where the industry is heading, what are key challenges faced by the FMs in these unprecedented challenging times, how the industry is shaping up, who are the key players, and what I as an educator and researcher, can do for the industry and prospective FM professionals.
My heartiest thanks again to IFMA Atlanta Chapter.
