Proper disposal of outdated, broken or unused electronics is a critical, but often overlooked component of most facility managers’ jobs. Data security for physical IT infrastructure is crucial to protecting your business’s integrity. Improperly discarded computers, phones, tablets, and other data-bearing devices are a principal source of information for identity thieves, while asset tags found on monitors, docking stations, and other electronic peripherals that have been thrown in a landfill can negatively affect your business’s reputation & ESG goals. This presentation will be an in-depth dive into topics such as the process, benefits, risks, and certifications of the Electronics Recycling & IT Asset Disposition industries.
