Facility investments often include removal of outdated processes and equipment and replacement with new improvements. These projects include major strip-out and renovation construction activities. Particularly in aging structures, preparing facility spaces for improvement requires environmental evaluation and compliance to address historical building materials and releases/impacts from previous operations. By utilizing the Planning, Assessment, Interpretation, Design, and Implementation steps, renovation project environmental pitfalls and associated health, safety, schedule, and cost risk factors can be managed.
In this presentation you will:
1. Gain an understanding of potential environmental risks associated with renovating existing facility spaces
2. Develop a comprehension of environmental regulations that may apply to strip-out, renovation, and improvement projects
3. Learn planning strategies to address environmental risks associated with these projects
This presentation has been approved for CEU’s through IACET and CFM Maintenance points, covering the core competencies of Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability, Project Management and human Factors.
