HIGHLIGHTS:
- Hosted the IFMA Chapter/Council management conference in March
- Officers and Chapter Admins. Attended IFMA Leadership Conf. In Houston in Feb.
- Continued IFMA sustaining Patron program to fund Chapter Administrator and other projects
- ·Continued the two-year strategic plan developed in 1999.
- Experienced more than 10% membership growth for the year.
- Created a new board position for Council Liaison
- Charged each board member and committee chair to produce a set of procedures for their positions so that IFMA Atlanta is able to sustain a succession plan. Also each board member is to mentor at least one member as replacement opportunities.
- Prepared submission for Chapter of the year.
- Presented with CHAPTER (Large) OF THE YEAR Award at Awards Banquet World Workplace 2000 in New Orleans.
- Continued working with the YWCA.
- 2000/2001 Joint Board Planning Retreat hosted by Milliken and Co. in La Grange in Nov.
- Sponsored successful live/silent auction to raise $15,000 toward Georgia Tech endowment in Nov. Joyce Roper chaired.
- Total gift to IFMA Foundation in 2000 was $30,000. Committed to IFMA Foundation for continued support in 2001 for Polsky Grant and Ga. Tech.
- Sponsored Golf/Tennis outing in May to continue support of partnerships with YWCA, IFMA Foundation, and Georgia Tech – proceeds split between YWCA and Foundation.
- Matched Polsky Family Grant to IFMA Foundation in amount of $5,000 in April.
- Updated the web site
- Planned for redevelopment of Professional Development Committee to enhance Member Services. Tom Haslach slated to chair committee in 2001. New program was finalized and geared up by November, with goal to win IFMA International Award of Excellence in Professional Development.
- Assisted with Georgia Tech successful kickoff of Masters Degree in Integrated Facility and Property Management
- Presented check for $25,000 to endow Georgia tech Masters Program to IFMA Foundation during Foundation Gala at World Workplace 2000 in New Orleans.
