The mission of IFMA Atlanta Community Services Committee is to assist nonprofit organizations in improving their facilities, maximizing the value of their facility dollars so that more funds can go to their program operations. From the forming of the Committee in 1997, we have grown from serving one Nonprofit Partner to serving eight partners this past year. Our reach is expanding, many thanks in part to our newly formed partnership with the Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN). This year, we are serving 12 nonprofit partners.
At the IFMA Atlanta July luncheon meeting, we recognized our retiring, returning, and new partners. Having completed their facility goals and retiring from partnership: The Drake House and Saint Joseph’s Mercy Care Services. Renewing their partnership from last year:
Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children, Decatur Cooperative Ministry, The Elaine Clark Center, Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta, Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, and Jerusalem House. Returning to partnership: Atlanta Community ToolBank. Becoming IFMA Atlanta Nonprofit Partners for the first time: A Friend’s House, Center for Puppetry Arts, CHRIS Kids, Clarkston Community Center, and Project Community Connections.
At our next Lunch & Learn for Nonprofits on August 16, we are presenting ‘Roof Preventive Maintenance 101’ in partnership with GCN’s Nonprofit University. For information and registration: NonprofitU/L&L.
We invite you to bring your experience with designing, constructing, and managing facilities to the Community Services Committee and join us in serving these Nonprofit Partners.
